Bashor Home
Supportive living environment for troubled and emotionally handicapped adolescents. They serve over 200 young people each year.

Provides services to help get people back on their feet. Provide training and also food assistance.

Heifer Project
The Heifer Project provides food and income-producing animals, training and related assistance to families and communities around the world. The church supports this project through annual giving.

Kids Club
A time for kids to come together and learn about God and His teachings. Participate in crafts, music, and listen to Bible stories. Meets weekly on Wednesday nights. ***Fall session begins Wednesday, September 19, 2001 from 6:00-7:45 pm.*** Contact Sara Leedy if you need a registration/permission form.
6:00-6:30 Light supper purchased and served in Parish Hall
6:30-7:45 Kid's Club and various choir rehearsals
7:45 Parents, please be prompt in picking up your children

McCurdy School
Christian high school associated with the United Methodist Church. It's located in a small town in northern New Mexico. If offers counseling that emphasizes effective and positive change for violence prevention and various support groups.

Mom's Day Out
A babysitting type service for moms to drop their kids off so they can run errands or just enjoy free time for a couple of hours each week.

Samaritan Center
Outpatient counseling and psychotherapy, education programs, and consultation and training for clergy and other professionals. Set up an appointment to meet at the church.

Senior Luncheon
Monthly luncheon at the church for our seniors (age 50+). Come and socialize with other seniors and listen to a guest speaker. June 10th in Wakarusa is this month's site. We will meet at 11 am to carpool from the DUMC parking lot to Deenenes Restaurant, 106 S Elkhart Street in Wakarusa (862-2765). Lunch is at 11:30 am. Afterwards, we will visit the Wakarusa Historical Museum, 403 S Wabash (862-4407).

Susanna's Kitchen
A Soup kitchen in Elkhart for those in need or low income underemployed. You can sign up and volunteer to help serve or prepare food.

The United Methodist Church has many other opportunities in which you can serve. If you are interested in doing short or long term mission trips or service check out the Mission Volunteers web page.

Vacation Bible School
A fun way for children ages preschool through 6th grade to learn about the God and His teachings. June 17-21 from 9:00 to 11:15 am will be the dates for our 2002 Vacation Bible School. The program will be "God's Great Gallery". A FREE cassette will be given to the first 25 families who register.
