WORK HISTORY:
1997 – present:
Graphic designer, web designer, editorial cartoonist and columnist for
the KPC family of newspapers based in Kendallville, IN. The job demands
detailed knowledge of four color printing and output to negative.
1996 – 1997: Electronics sales
associate at the Wal-Mart in Kendallville, IN.
1995: Employment at Kurtz Signs
in Kendallville, IN.
1991 – 1994: Wrote, drew, did
calligraphy and painted covers for Caliber Comics in Livonia, MI. I
was paid on a royalty basis and I lived in Indiana at the time.
1991: Book illustration work for
Alpha Books, an imprint of Prentice-Hall in Carmel, IN.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Platforms: Macintosh, Windows
98 and Windows 95.
Software: Quark, Photoshop, Freehand,
Illustrator, Pagemaker, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Powerpoint, and Word.
Most of these skills are used on an almost daily basis.
OTHER SKILLS:
Copywriting, paste-up, drawing, painting,
cartooning.
AWARDS:
In 1999 and 2000 the KPC Web site (http://www.kpcnews.com)
won Hoosier State Press Association awards.
In 2000 won a Hoosier State Press Association
honorable mention award for editorial cartooning.
OTHER:
Extremely good personal skills and works
well with a team. Presently on the Internet committee at KPC, and was
on their promotional committee when they were preparing to launch their
Sunday edition in March of 2000.
Excellent work attendance
and extremely good job evaluations.
PERSONAL:
Attends LaOtto Wesleyan Church
and teaches an adult Sunday school class.
