Plans are underway for the 44th
annual art fair on August 3 and 4. One-third of the participants have received
notices to rejury, based upon the recommendation of the Art Fair committee.
The remaining two-thirds will rejury the next two years. Random selection
process was used to determine the artists who will rejury.
Slide jurying will take place on May 18 by three working artists who are not
exhibiting artists at our fair.
We need volunteers for a variety of projects: placing slides in trays for
jurying, returning slides with accept/reject letters, counting postcards to
mail to artists, and a variety of other things. Please call the gallery to
volunteer your time.
Thank you.

The
prospectus has been mailed for the 51st Annual Woman's Club Show.
this is a two-dimensional painting and sculpture show that is not
juried. It's a great show for beginning artists to display their
work.

Deadline
to enter slides for jurying into the 44th Annual Chesterton Art Fair is
May 1st. This show is a highly competitive jurying process, so
select only your best work and great slides to enter. Don't clutter
your booth slide with all of your work. Present your work in the
best possible manner.
Pick-up
of Art Work
May and June
bring two exhibitions into the entire downstairs galleries. If you had
two-dimensional artwork here for several years, please help us clean up the
upstairs loft. We have a committee currently checking all artwork into
our inventory system. When you remove work, please check it off your
inventory list. When you have a sale, you will not receive your check
until we have your W-9 form on file. Stop by and fill one out.
thanks for you help with this bookkeeping procedure.
ATTENTION
ARTISTS!
In a recent review by our
accountant, a recommendation was made that we ensure we have Internal Revenue
Service Form W-9 on file for all artists, art teachers, and other independent
contractors who do business with the gallery. We will begin to mail forms very
soon. Thanks for your cooperation. This is an annual event so expect, next
year, to have to give us another W-9.
