Members' Holiday Reception
The Staff of the Art Center invites you to an afternoon "thank you" reception on Sunday, December 15, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Hosting the event will be Gloria Rector, our first director, Paul McHugh, our first administrative assistant, Vivian Twait, secretary, Phyllis Kniadek, administrative assistant, and Judy Gregurich, director.
Come in and create a one-of-a-kind hand painted Christmas ornament, or a photographic "hand print."
Artist-in-Residence Program
The AACPC has signed a memorandum of understanding with the national Park Service to provide cooperation and assistance between the organizations to operate the Artist-in-Residence program at the Indiana Dunes National lakeshore. The AACPC is responsible for all publicity and recruitment of artists for the program. If you have suggestions of publications we can advertise this important project, please call the office. The Indiana Dunes national lakeshore has offered the Artist-in-Residence program for several years, resulting in artists from across the country visiting the lakeshore and enjoying the area in which we live and work. Marikay Peter Whitlock, of the Union Street Gallery, Chicago Heights, was one of this year's artists. Her award-winning work was in our Art Comp 2002.
Renewal Time?
Check your mailing label. The date for your renewal is located on the first line. Membership is only $25 a family and $20 an individual. You will receive a 10% discount on all purchases, monthly newsletters, and advance notices of bus trips, workshops, etc. Remember that membership is so beneficial that our renewal rate is 80%.
