A recommendation of Larry Green:
I have known Lawrence E. Green and his family for over twenty-one years, giving me a unique opportunity to establish a solid “overall perspective” as to his character, creativity and capabilities. It is based on this experience that I make this recommendation.
Larry has a strong and abiding commitment to his family, his friends, and his faith. He truly loves people, and believes that love is a verb – to be acted out in every day life. I have observed many examples of this character trait, often shown by Larry’s generosity in serving and helping whenever and wherever possible. My family has participated with his family in two professionally developed and well-organized family health development and communications weekends that Larry created and conducted for ENNABLE, a family ministry organization. My family and others participating in these events benefited greatly from these experiences.
I have also worked with Larry in a professional setting while working at Crown Intl., Inc. He has a wonderful grasp of group dynamics. In one instance he helped us appraise our situation and then skillfully facilitated our group, enabling us to personally evaluate our business needs, formulate a consensus on a plan (including measurements), and then guided us through implementation. Larry’s intense style does more than just communicate, facilitate and/or teach; he somehow finds a way to make personal and genuine connections with each individual. On other occasions I have watched as he worked beyond the surface clutter (usually presented by a group), and helped teams discover new and creative solutions to the needs of both the individuals and the group as a whole. He is a quick thinker and tends to grasp the whole as well as the details.
Larry Green has been, and continues to be, a faithful friend. He is a teacher, a counselor, and a vital team member to those with whom he serves. His energy, commitment, and creativity would be an asset to any organization. I have always enjoyed his quickness to recognize mistakes and problems (both his and others), and then to learn from them. This tends to bother some people, but it is a good quality. A good measure of a man is what his wife and children say about him… as I talk to Larry’s family (his wife Cherri and the 8 children they have raised), they are all supportive of his calling to teach, and talk highly of his love and support for their lives.
As he pursues a position in teaching and research in the higher education setting, I can see him contributing to the lives of not only students, but faculty and staff alike. He is a fun person to work with, enjoys life, and will contribute positively to any community he feels called to join. I am honored to make this recommendation, and will be happy to answer any further questions about his abilities to contribute to your organization.
