OH Ramuzon #148965  3/25/76

OH Ramuzon was my first stallion.  He had all the fire an 18 year old girl could ever dream of.  We road daily on trails near the barn I boarded at - if only I'd known about endurance riding back then!  I showed Ram in English Pleasure open shows and did well and did one EP/WP combination class - what a blast - even if I didn't know what I was doing!  I retired Ram in 1995 so that I could start my new youngsters.  A few years later the trainer at my barn needed a lesson horse and I let her use Ram.  A young girl fell in love with Ram.  Even though she was a beginner and he'd never been a WP horse, she showed him the next year in the open show put on by our IAHA club and took Reserve Champion Open WP (against QH's no less!)  The next year she showed him at the same show in Hunter Pleasure against huge classes with QH's and TB's and got 2 blues and 7 ribbons.  Not bad for a 27 year old horse!  He is currently back in retirement in our pasture with 'his' girls.

OH Ares #376507  4/25/86

You see Ares here being shown by two sisters - Megan and Emily.  They are in 4H and get a great deal of enjoyment out of Ares.  It was very hard to give Ares up, as my husband loved using Ares for our trail rides.  I love seeing all of the 4H kids using my horses to their fullest though!  Emily & Megan's brother Kevin has recently started taking barrel racing lessons on Ares!  I used to show him Country Pleasure and have ridden him numerous times in Brown County on 30 and 40 mile rides.  I miss Ares, but he's got a great home!

Comment has given me THREE wonderful foals - CCR Golden Moment, who is now owned by a family with a six year old daughter who loves Moment, CCR Golden Legacy, who is a wonderful stallion with all of the CMK qualities I love, and CCR Golden Vision, who is an extremely elegant mare with a ton of heart.  She is typical of the mares who came from the Comar farm - she is not trained to ride, but she never objects to carrying us around when we bring her in from pasture.  She has truly blessed me!

Incredible mare with fantastic personality.  She was 15.2 hands and very broad across the chest.  Fabulous endurance and sweet to foals and kids.  She blessed me with 2 foals - CCR Gamazon, and CCR Golden Mazona.  We lost Comar Mazona to a twisted intestine colic a few months after her last foal was born.  It's a terrible experience and one of those things you have to be prepared for in advance to know that you'll do the right thing for the horse.  She is sadly missed!

OH Sur Gayraff #146867  3/26/76

My first breeding stallion.  Gayraff was given to me by the people I bought OH Ramuzon from when they retired to Florida.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with a 16 year old unbroke stallion, but it was Thanksgiving and I thought he'd be a nice project to train over the winter.  Within 3 weeks I was riding him.  He had the same intelligent warm personality of all the Azraff/Ferzon horses I've been blessed to work with.  12 years later he's a happy camper in retirement with friends in Hobart.  Lucky horse even has his own carrot garden!

CCR Bobs Rosiraf #531716  7/31/95

'Bob' was an absolute pleasure to work with.  He was 'hotter' than most of the Azraff/Ferzon horses and a bit flinchy, yet you could toss an empty plastic pop bottle at him without him batting an eye.  I would have loved to keep Bob for an English Pleasure horse, but by the time I'd started him under saddle I had 13 horses, so some had to go!  He's currently at a dressage barn being used as a dressage lesson horse for kids and beginners.  He LOVES people and loves his job.

CCR Gamazon #531717  7/9/95

Gamazon was a sweetheart from the moment he was born.  He had a habit of hanging his tongue out the side of his mouth that led to the nickname 'M.J.' for Michael Jordan.  He was bought by a woman who rode with her young daughter who she was teaching to ride and all about horses and animal husbandry.  He was then sold to a family who are now jumping with him!
